The Job:
The finance team needs additional support to assist the CFO and Financial Controller with the expanding activities across different territories, including preparation of management accounts and related key performance indicators.
The team also requires support/cover for other functions in the finance team including (but not limited to), accounts payable, out of pocket expenses and purchasing support.
Day to day responsibilities:
Month-end management accounts: Calculating and posting customer rebates, reviewing overheads, posting accruals and prepayments, preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
Accounts payable: Checking and processing invoices, maintaining and updating Accounts Payable ledger, preparing supplier payment runs.
Financial analysis: Review and analysis of sales, gross margin and overheads. Reporting to the Finance Manager any major variances/trends. Reconciliation of the balance sheet control schedules on a monthly basis.
Tax compliance: Liaising with external accountancy firms and providing data/reports to enable timely submission of tax returns e.g. VAT
Sales Reporting: Preparing and providing regular sales analysis (by territory and by product) on a regular basis for the management team review.
General finance support: Supporting colleagues in overseas territories with day-to-day queries. Accounts payable. Processing out-of-pocket expenses. Providing cover for other back-office/finance related activities.
Qualifications required:
Training will be provided, but it is preferable that the candidate has related and relevant experience and/or qualifications e.g. part/fully qualified with AAT, CIMA, ACCA etc.

Finance/accounting knowledge and experience gained from within a manufacturing business
The Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Proven experience as an electrician. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
