Job Description

Position: Securitized Products Trader

Location: Los Angeles, CA

A leading asset management firm with over $150 billion in assets under management is seeking a dynamic and experienced Securitized Products Trader to join its Los Angeles-based team. This individual will play a critical role in executing trades and supporting investment strategies across various structured credit sectors, including-but not limited to-ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide full-spectrum trading coverage across designated securitized sectors in both primary and secondary markets.
  • Collaborate closely with structured credit analysts and portfolio managers to align trading activity with firmwide investment strategies.
  • Develop and implement efficient trading workflows to ensure optimal execution and operational integrity.
  • Offer timely and insightful market commentary to internal stakeholders, contributing to investment decisions through analysis of technicals, trading flows, and relative value opportunities.
  • Evaluate market risk pricing and recommend positioning across capital structures, considering key risk factors such as liquidity, duration, and convexity.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with broker-dealers to enhance the firm's market presence and access.
  • Work in tandem with other members of the Securitized Products Group to identify and act on cross-sector relative value opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in securitized products trading, with strong expertise in at least one sector and familiarity across others.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate investment ideas and market insights clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, particularly in cross-sector investment discussions.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience engaging with clients and internal stakeholders is a plus.
