A manufacturing company known for its smart technologies is currently looking for a Receptionist / Customer Support Agent. The ideal candidate is polished, personable, and proactive - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for both guests and customers.

 

  • Temp to Hire
  • Pay: $20~23/hr

Requirements of the Receptionist / Customer Support Agent:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a receptionist, office management, or administrative support role.
  • Prior customer service or support experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or similar CRM/ticketing platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident using modern office technology and software tools.
  • Positive, ambitious attitude and a desire to grow within the company.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed (e.g., restocking supplies or handling packages).

 

Responsibilities of the Receptionist / Customer Support Agent:

 

Front Desk & Office Administration

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors—warmly greet guests, assist with check-in, and offer water or coffee to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Manage incoming calls and general inquiries, routing them appropriately or assisting directly when possible.
  • Handle daily mail and packages, generate shipping labels, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
  • Support office operations by maintaining supplies, organizing communal areas, and coordinating minor repairs or maintenance.
  • Help plan light office events such as monthly birthday celebrations or team perks.

 

Customer Support

  • Provide high-level customer support via phone, email, and online chat.
  • Assist with online and retail partner order inquiries, product troubleshooting, and returns or replacements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer records using Zendesk or a similar CRM system.
  • Proactively resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and strengthen brand loyalty.

 

Location: Torrance, CA

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
