CHS Northwest in Purdy/Gig Harbor, WA is looking for a Propane Truck Driver to join our team! This individual would be responsible for delivering propane to residential and commerical customers. This is a M-F position with overtime during the winter months. The ideal candidate for this role would have their Class A or B CDL wtih hazmat/tanker endorsements or willing to obtain. No previous CDL experience is required- apply today!

Responsibilities \n

  • Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
  • Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
  • Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
  • Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)\n

  • Class A or B CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements or willing to obtain. 
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications \n

  • Must meet DOT and Company requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.   • Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
