EHS Manager – Construction (Scaffolding Focus)

Location: Tampa, FL (Local Candidates Only)

Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract (Immediate Start – February 2026)

Compensation: $45–$50 per hour | No per diem available

Position Overview

SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support a major bridge and structural construction project in the Tampa Bay area . This position represents the General Contractor and requires strong experience in construction safety , specifically with scaffolding operations and field compliance oversight .

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on safety professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven record of building strong safety cultures on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Conduct and document daily field safety inspections, audits, and scaffolding evaluations.
• Review scaffold designs, tagging systems, and ensure compliance with OSHA Subpart L and manufacturer specifications.
• Lead new hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
• Partner with project and field leadership to enforce site-specific safety programs.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators and maintain EHS documentation.
• Act as a visible safety presence in the field to engage, educate, and mentor crews.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of direct experience in construction safety management representing a General Contractor .
• Demonstrated experience with scaffolding operations and regulatory compliance.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 strongly preferred.
• CHST or other BCSP credential a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a local candidate based in the Tampa Bay, FL area (no per diem available).
• Available for immediate start through February 2026 .
