Title: Academic Advisor (CASUAL HIRE)

Other Conditions: Renewal of appointment is dependent on performance, program needs and/or availability of funds. Casual Hire positions are 89-day temporary appointments that do not have any benefits associated with them.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process advising-related paperwork for CNS Students
• Provide drop-in academic advising and registration support for CNS Students
• Assist in processing overrides for CNS courses
• Support CNS SASC office functions, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and answering phone inquiries
• Support implementation of CNS SASC recruitment, workshops, and events
• Provide academic advising for students in the College of Natural Sciences
• Support tracking student achievement of milestones and outreaching as necessary
• Support advisor outreach for early alert interventions

• Serve as the main point of contact for general CNS SASC inquires via phone, email, and text message
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-year of advising and student success experience
